Our History:
The Armenian history dates back over
2,500 years. Armenians were the first to accept Christianity
officially in 301 AD. In order to preserve our traditions, our land
and our identity, the Armenians have had to struggle constantly
throughout centuries.
Today, over half of the world's Armenian population lives outside
of Armenia, and the largest and most influential group is here, in
the United States.
The Armenian Church is officially called Armenian Apostolic
Church, for the very simple reason that Christianity was made
known in Armenia by two of the apostles of the Lord, Thaddeus and
Bartholomew. Their work was later followed by the sacrifice of
many Christians.
